We are a Pan-Orthodox, English language parish serving Western New York. We welcome people of all backgrounds and ethnicities to worship with us and learn more about the ancient and unchanging path of Orthodox Christianity.
We celebrate the Divine Liturgy on Sunday at 10AM. Great Vespers is celebrated on Saturdays at 3:30PM;4PM during the summer months. Services for the Great Feasts, Saint's Days, Lent and Holy Week are also provided (please see Service Schedule). All Services are in English.
Orthodox Christians who are visiting us from other parishes and canonical jurisdictions in communion with the Orthodox Church in America - and who are permitted to receive the Mystery of Holy Communion in their home Orthodox parishes - are welcome to receive with us as well. All wishing to approach the Holy Chalice to partake of the Holy Body and Blood of Our Lord should be prepared through regular reception of holy Communion, Confession, Prayer and Fasting as taught by the Orthodox Church.
St Thomas Sunday: Breaking the Artos and Egg Hunt - 04/22/12
This year's Egg Hunt questions were: What is the name of the Church bread? How do you cross yourself? How does an Orthodox Christian greet (or say good-bye) to an Orthodox Priest (or Bishop) when they meet?
During Father Herman's medical leave of absence, St George Orthodox Church will have guest priest attending to the Saturday/Sunday Service Schedule.
